Ross Casswell says
I have used the Fernco wax free seal on many toilets, but I don’t trust the glue that comes with it: After pressing it onto the toilet I apply a generous bead of silicone, tooling it onto the porcelain of the toilet and onto the flange of the Fernco, If possible I then let it cure overnight before installing the toilet. Using this method I once installed a toilet (temporarily) without any toilet bolts as the substrate was too rotten to install a flange repair ring or to accept lag bolts. Even thought this was a temporary fix until the bathroom was ripped apart and everything properly reworked, it ended up being about 2 years and the toilet never leaked, you were even able to rotate the toilet on the flange inches back and forth, it was an amazing demonstration of how well this product really works!
